Nice experiment mate, like it. Hey mate, why you always put so small pics? A 800 px width view could enhance better the image, from my point of view. Very interesting reference, btw. Gonna check the author in a while.
Mine was just a suggestion, not an order or a direct request. I've just recognized that you are used to set the view of the pics at low sizes, like 600 px or not more.
It's wise because if anybody try to copy the image they don't get something bigger enough to be reproduced. But you don't enhance (from my point of view) the appearance of the piece.
Me, personally, I do the opposite error. I like to put all the works in the most huge size to allow who watch to see it full view or generally at big size. And probably there are army of stealers that have taken advantage of this since my two years of presence here on DA.
Anytime people want to see a piece larger and I'm able to do so, I usually do it. Otherwise, I keep my work smaller as it tends to look better that way (at least to me) and it's less likely to be ripped or painted over (as you mentioned).
No vids. I made and downloaded a bunch of new brushes recently, that's really helped me loosen up of late. Also, I've been messing with the colors, contrast and saturation levels, then "reinterpreting" the painting afterward, it seems to be effective. For me, it's all about keeping my interest and imagination in play, otherwise the work gets stiff, so I really try to keep my process a bit chaotic and spontaneous.
